Augusto is a black belt 2 dan in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, trained under Master Fabio Alcino Dos Santos (CICERO COSTA).
He began practising Jiu Jitsu in 2009 to manage his hyperactivity. After a decade of dedication he achieved the black belt rank in 2019. Motivated to explore new opportunities he moved to Australia just five months after earning his black belt. Since his early days as a white belt Augusto has competed in tournaments, shaping his career as an athlete and inspiring others with his passion for the sport.
Alys James is a brown belt who began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Carlos Vieira in 2014 after being recommended to Cia Paulista by a friend. She quickly fell in love with the art and has continued training and competing over the years.
Alys has competed since white belt and her most notable achievements include holding the National Number 1 ranking in 2017 & 2018 in Masters No-gi at Blue belt.
After having a child in 2019 Alys has continued training and has been involved in running women’s events and training sessions. She is passionate about bringing Brazilian jiu jitsu to people from all walks of life especially other women and mothers.
